Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Pinebit handles information in the iOS apps we publish on the App Store (the "apps") and on our websites, pinebit.app and getpadelscore.com.
The short version
- You don't need an account to use our apps.
- We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
- Much of what our apps do happens on your device. When a feature needs a server (for example AI identification), we send only what that feature needs.
- Health data never leaves your devices.
Who we are
Pinebit is operated by Marcis Prieditis, Latvia (European Union), who is the controller of your personal data under the GDPR. Contact: support@pinebit.app or the form on our support page.
What we collect and why
Not every app uses every item below. Each app's App Store listing shows its own "App Privacy" details.
Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check which purchases are active on your device, using an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history and basic device information.
App usage and diagnostics
Some apps use analytics services (TelemetryDeck, PostHog or Mixpanel, depending on the app) to learn which features are used and to find problems. This includes anonymous identifiers, app and iOS version, device model, approximate region and in-app events. One app uses Google Firebase for app configuration and diagnostics.
Advertising measurement
One app uses AppsFlyer to measure whether our ads lead to installs. Where Apple requires it, we ask for your permission first through the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can say no.
AI features
Features such as identifying an item from a photo, estimating a value or generating a design send the photo or text you submit to an AI provider (OpenAI or Google Gemini), routed through our servers on Cloudflare. We use the result only to show it to you. We don't use your photos to train AI models, and we don't keep them on our servers after the request, unless the app offers a history you choose to save. Where an app offers cloud history, it is stored with our database providers (Supabase or Convex).
Health data (Padel Score)
With your permission, Padel Score reads and writes workout and heart rate data through Apple HealthKit to show match statistics and save workouts. This data stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is never sent to our servers, never used for advertising and never sold.
Camera, photos and microphone
Apps ask for access only when a feature needs it. Photos, video and audio are processed on your device unless you use an AI feature described above.
Feedback, feature requests and support
When you send feedback, suggest or vote on a feature, or contact support, we receive your message, the email address if you give one, a random ID generated by the app (not linked to your identity), the app and iOS version, and whether you have a subscription. This is stored with our backend provider Convex and used only to reply to you and improve our apps. Feature suggestions are shown to other users of the same app, without any personal details. Please don't include personal information in a suggestion.
This website
pinebit.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. We don't use tracking cookies. The site stores a random ID in your browser for the contact form, and a counter for the pine you can water.
Padel Score website and browser scoreboard (getpadelscore.com)
getpadelscore.com has no accounts, newsletter, contact form or advertising profile. Its free browser scoreboard works entirely on your device: team names, settings, the match in progress and up to 50 finished matches are kept in your browser's localStorage and never sent to us. This storage is necessary to provide the scoreboard you asked for, and it stays until you clear the history or your browser's site data. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which briefly processes technical data such as IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent and error or security information to deliver and protect it (our legitimate interest in reliable, secure delivery).

These are localStorage records, not cross-site tracking cookies. They are listed because EU rules also cover similar device storage. getpadelscore.com currently loads no analytics, advertising tags, social widgets or embedded video. If that ever changes, this policy and the site's banner will name the provider, purpose and duration, and the site will ask for your consent again before enabling it. Use the Cookie settings button in the site footer to change your choice at any time, or delete your browser's site data, which removes the saved choice, scoreboard settings, active match and local history.

Legal bases
We process data to provide the features you use (performance of a contract), for analytics, security and support (our legitimate interest in running and improving the apps), and with your consent where required, for example for HealthKit, camera and photo access, and tracking permission. You can withdraw consent at any time in iOS Settings.
International transfers
Some providers are based in or process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Feedback and support messages are kept until they're no longer needed to reply or improve the app. Analytics data is kept according to each provider's retention settings. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. Contact us to use these rights. Because our apps don't use accounts, tell us which app you used and, if you gave one, your email address so we can find your data. You can also complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija) or the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will give notice in the apps or on this page.
